Getting around Koh Tao: plan each outing

Before heading out
Tell your host where you want to go and ask about suitable transport. Confirm the destination, collection point and full fare before agreeing a ride. For a boat trip, check the meeting point and included return arrangements.
If considering a rental
The Tourism Authority of Thailand advises particular caution with motorbikes on Koh Tao. Ask about the rental terms and your own eligibility before making a decision. Choose a different transport option if the route, vehicle or conditions do not suit you.
